High quality scans that are properly sharpened, and retain all highlight and shadow detail, are essential to produce a successful final photo. All scanning is done at at least 600 pixels per inch, so no detail is lost in the process of digitization. Images are resized and sharpened prior to printing. tIt is imperative to avoid over sharpening.

Nothing is as important as having years of experience meeting and exceeding customer’s expectations. Explanation of the process and schedule is something that we take great pride in. The vast majority of older photos have a yellow tone due to aging. Most photos will benefit from neutralizing the yellow somewhat, but too much whitening often looks artificial. We can show you printed samples in order to determine together what will make your photos restored in a way that is optimal.

Retouching covers anything that alters the image, not just improves it: For example: taking people out of a photo or putting them in, changing backgrounds, etc. Our extensive retouching experience enables us to solve problems that are often overwhelming to other people who’ve only done this type of work occasionally. We do not outsource this work.
